McGeady is a happy bhoy

In a recent interview with Total Youth Footie magazine, 22 year old Celtic and Ireland international Aiden McGeady has talked about his career so far.

It won't take long before his football skills are coveted in the Premiership and clubs down south start knocking at the door however Aiden maintains he is happy with the SPL and his career to date

"I've always been a Celtic fan. I only live 15 minutes from the ground and I've been in that part of the city since I was three or four years old. So it is the ideal location.

"I was only about 13 when I first joined Celtic. I arrived as part of the development scheme and that meant I played for Celtic all year but could not play for my school. That was the only thing I was a little bit unhappy about.

"The club wanted to take players out of school competitions because they might have led to injuries and things like that. I signed a pre-contract agreement when I was 13, which meant that I could come in and train full-time at the club when I reached 16. I've been with Celtic ever since, through the Under-13s, Under-14s, the youth team and now the first team."

McGeady signed up last year committing himself to the club until 2011
