Despite sealing Celtic's place in the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup today,Robbie has so far failed to score a home for him and the missus, Claudine Palmer nearer Glasgow. The pair offered £10,000 a month to rent a mansion in Bothwell, Lanarkshire, which was once owned by Lotto winner John McGuinness.
The property wasn't advertised but it's understood Celtic approached current owner Ged Gaffney on the player's behalf.
But the haulage contractor, 50, said: "I have knocked him back. I'm not interested."
John, 46 - who won £10million in 1997 and is now bankrupt - sold the house in 2000.
It boasts a games room, Jacuzzi, sauna and giant windows allowing sweeping views of the Clyde Valley.
A source close to Robbie, 29 said: "They were crushed. It was ideal."

Meanwhile a star struck Niall McGinn still hasn’t plucked up enough courage to ask new Celtic signing Robbie Keane for his autograph.
The Six County youngster insists: “I will do soon. Robbie has always been one of my favourite players.
“I know he’s only on loan so before he goes back to Spurs I’m determined not only to get his autograph but maybe a signed shirt and perhaps even a picture of us together."
