FoxyBhoy new album release

Michael Fox performing under the name of FoxyBhoy, playing ballads, rebel songs and Celtic FC songs,is releasing a new album in a few weeks time. It includes his own composition ‘Michael Davitt – The Story Of a Celtic Man’. The song is inspired by the fact that in 1897, Straide-born Davitt secured a seat on the board of Glasgow Celtic and had the honour of turning the first sod of grass at Parkhead. The sod of grass was stolen during the might causing grief and anger to the Irish Community in Glasgow "The curse of Cromwell blast the hand that stole the sod that Michael cut; May all his praties turn to sand - the crawling, thieving scut"! Six years ago, he released a six-track CD, ‘Songs From Celtic Park’. Tracks from the album have had over 100,000 hits on YouTube. He is a regular visitor to Scotland, where he has built up a huge fan base. The musicians featured on the new album are friends of Michael from his Manchester days, Dezi Donnelly; Michael McGoldrick, who has just recorded Transatlantic sessions with American superstar James Taylor; Sean Regan; Pat Coyne, from Sean Keane’s Band; and Paul O’Driscoll from the Sharon Shannon band on double bass.
