Robbie Keane

Keane's first-half strike seals it for the hoops

Robbie Keane's first-half strike earned Celtic a 1-0 win over Dundee United and took the Hoops to within seven points of Rangers at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

The Irishman turned in a man-of-the-match performance, topped off in the 21st minute when he raced on to a through ball from Diomansy Kamara to slot the ball past Tannadice keeper Dusan Pernis.

Keane's Glasgow retreat on hold

Despite sealing Celtic's place in the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup today,Robbie has so far failed to score a home for him and the missus, Claudine Palmer nearer Glasgow. The pair offered £10,000 a month to rent a mansion in Bothwell, Lanarkshire, which was once owned by Lotto winner John McGuinness.
